PASLA and RMA are excited to open the 11th Annual PASLA/RMA Conference on Asian Securities Lending that will be held in Tokyo at The Conrad Tokyo, 4-6 March 2014. The Conference Co-chairs Martin Corrall, Citi and Executive Committee chair of PASLA, and Jason Strofs, Blackrock and Executive Committee chair of RMA, and the conference planning committee are currently putting together a business program reflective of the current issues affecting the industry in the region along with legal and regulatory rules currently in implementation and discussion.
The conference will kick off Tuesday, 4 March with the Securities Lending Tutorial followed by three round table discussions on the Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesian markets.
The business program for Wednesday and Thursday will start with industry leaders discussing the future of securities finance, a panel that will debate issues on both a global and regional level. In addition, some other topics to be discussed during this year's conference are:
•Securities Lending and Borrowing in the Japanese Market
•Regional Fixed Income and Repo Trading Outlook
•Collateral Leaders panel
•Global Legal and Regulatory Issues led by Greg Lyons of Debevoise & Plimpton
•Regional Legal and Regulatory Issues led by Paget DareBryan of Clifford Chance
