Securities borrowing and lending is a very competitive business. PASLA and RMA are excited to open the 12th Annual PASLA/RMA Conference on Asian Securities Lending that will be held in Shanghai at The Grand Hyatt, 3-5 March 2015. The Conference Co-chairs and planning committee are currently putting together a business program reflective of the current issues affecting the industry in the region along with legal and regulatory rules currently in implementation and discussion.

The conference will kick off Tuesday, 3 March with the Securities Lending Tutorial followed by emerging and developed market discussions. The business program for Wednesday and Thursday will kick off with industry experts debate the future of Chinese market including discussion on the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. In addition, some other topics to be discussed during this year's conference are:

·Global and Regional Legal and Regulatory Changes 

·Evolution of Central Counterparties in the APAC Region

·Balance Sheet Optimization

·Industry Leaders discussing the future for the APAC region
