Events

PASLA and RMA are excited to announce the agenda for the 12th Annual PASLA/RMA Conference on Asian Securities Lending. The conference will be held in Shanghai at The Grand Hyatt, 3-5 March 2015. The conference will kick off Tuesday, 3 March with the Securities Lending Tutorial followed by emerging and developed market discussions. The business program for Wednesday and Thursday will kick off with industry experts debate the future of Chinese market including discussion on the Hong Kong/Shanghai stock connect. In addition, some other topics to be discussed during this year's conference are:

 
Securities Lending and Borrowing in the Chinese Markets
Market participants will discuss the current issues for securities in Chinese markets, the operational challenges, regulatory and structural changes, and where they are focusing their resources.

Outlook for the China Market and Products
The panel will discuss the future of the China market and how the Hong Kong - Shanghai Stock Connect could influence securities finance. Additional debate will involve legal and regulatory issues, the outlook for products such as equities, fixed income, and ETF's.

Industry Leaders Panel
Senior business leaders will discuss adapting to the post regulatory environment, the opportunities for growth and innovation. Additionally, the panel will discuss the impact of capital charges & NSFR, synthetic prime brokerage, and how both the supply side and demand side will need to change.
